Towing from top cleat??

Is the top cleat strong enough to pull a 2 person tube? 1988 3 litre bayliner Capri bow rider.ive towed a wakeboarder from lower transom u bolts. But was wondering if top cleat would be better?

Tubes generate a great deal of stress. No way I'd tow one from a cleat

. Thanks that's what I thought ,I would like to tow from a higher location but doesn't seem like enough reinforcement up high

There are many tow hooks that can be put on the transom, or centre of the upper deck adjacent to the transom. Adding aluminum or wood backing spreads the load even further if the deck material is light.
