no prob. looks like i'll be pulling out and going to powell about the time your going to mead.
i'm trying to get things in order here so i can go back and spend feb.&march on mead.

Sounds real good!! I got a question for you. If I want to camp at Mead can I find a cove and pitch my tent or do I have to be at a designated campsite?? Been to Mead but never with my boat just camping and we camped at the designated sites near the shoreline. Also how is boating out their this time of year, probably pretty quiet??

yes you can find a spot and camp. i checked with the park service and the one thing they did tell me, is you cant park your tow vehical and trailer in any one spot for over 7 days with out moving it. i moved mine every 6 days till i got a slip. you still need a pora-pot for waste. i was in boulder basin for about 3 week in nov and there was more trafic than i thought i would see but by no means cowded. if i were you i would try to get out to temple basin and stay there. the day i was out there i didnt see another boat. prettier and more quiet. worth the extra drive.
the other guys that can help you and know a lot more than me are QC and drowned rat.

one thing I remember from my childhood was my dad towing the empty camper with his F-150 and Mom following behind with the station wagon loaded with all the gear. all the camping gear, food and kids was easily hundreds of extra pounds. The truck was already close to the limit so the extra weight went in a seperate vehicle.

I am jealous I always wanted to go to lake mead a little out range for me I live in Boston about 2700 miles tough to tow my boat out thier and back for a week vacation enjoy
