Top cap getting warm, alpha one gen 2

I have a 2004 glastron sx175 with a 3.0 , alpha one gen 2 outdrive. I've noticed after running down the lake for 15 or 20 min the top cap is getting warm to the touch. Not hot. You can lay your hand on it... is this normal?? Also it dosen't have power steering and is very difficult to turn left, any tips on how to ease it up any... thanks in advance guys,

Not sure what you mean by top cap. Adjusting your drive anode fin will help with the steering.

Drive top cover getting warm is normal.

Turn the turn tab/anode so the trailing edge is more to starboard....
