The message I want him to learn in this area is that the clock ticks, so starting to save now and forever will definitely make a difference in his life. I wish I had learned that at his age . . .

Ultimately Warhorse has identified maybe the most important one as I had said I may remove #1 only because that is already in his mind.

I've gotta spend a little time with JB's and NOSLEEP's lists

1) Have faith in God
2) Do what you say and mean what you say
3) Never make a major decision when you are: angry, horny, or hungry
4) Life is not fair
5) You know right from wrong, always have the convictions to do whats right
6) Don't step aside, step up
7) Live within your means
8) Pay yourself first and start now
9) The most important decision you will ever make is choosing your spouse. From that single decision will come 98% of your happiness or 98% of your misery
