Honestly, i can tell you that not removing the tie-down straps was a far superior method for properly filling up a boat than simply forgetting the plug, and fastest too!

i have forgotten to plug once. luckily i realized before i even took the boat off the trailer. i just pulled out and let it drain for a couple seconds then went off for the day. got lucky. ever since then i have been very diligent about it though.
