you said in the week ended good post that your MILs buick had leaking gasket problem. How explain , my buick with 30000 miles is in the shop now for leaking gaskets. It appeared tome it was leaking where the intake mounted to the head. car has never been hot, all service checks, full of pink antifreze. I dont drive car much. It had been setting for over a week when I noticed a puddle under it. Just wondering if it was a comon problem. thanks lwr

Yup, old news....GM is ignoring thousands of folks with the same problem.....
Link

Quite frankly, I'll never buy another General Motors vehicle...period. Years of being screwed over, did it for me...anyone remember many years ago, when GM put Chevette tranny's into Cadillacs?? GM claimed it was a mistake...yea right! Their only mistake was getting caught! It comes as no small surprise that they are financially in the crapper...

my 99 venture had the intake gaskets and water pump fail at a young age and then the HEAD gaskets 18 months latter

because i had a 5/75000 coverage plan and my BIL was the service manager i got off on good will on the heads because it was at 77000 miles

it did not thrill me but knock on wood 99 to 2005 and it has been a very good car otherwise

tommays
