Are you assuming vac pressure is determinded by the carb ,cam or manifold. That's a awful broad statement.

Come on now TG, you must know that the bigger the hole(s) the lower the suction?:p or have you forgotten basic physics?

Several years ago, to perk up my 302/vp, I put an Edelbrock Torker manifold and 600cfm Holley on it. It turned a boat that took the distance of a football field to plane to a boat that was on plane almost immediately. That was with vacuum secondaries, btw.

Torker, being a single plane design is not a low rpm manifold. Edelbrock lists it as a 2500 - 6000 rpm manifold. Most boats would do better with a 2 plane design, like the Performer RPM manifold.
