Do you live in Pa. I see you mention Johnstown Pa which isn't far from me. Go to a notary that does this kind of work and they should be able to direct you.You say 58 cutter. Is this the year/type or model. If it's the year there probably wasn't any titles being issued back then. Pa only started doing this with new boats a few years back. Boats bought and sold in Pa before a certain year wasn't required to be titled. This could be the reason for your wait.

Yes i do ilve in johnstown,pa. The boat is a 1958 cutter jet deville.Yes your right about the titles for back then but somewhere down the line they titled it.The boat does have a hul no. .And there is a title for it but like i said the guy is being a **** and never got back to me about it.I wonder if i took hull no. and that capasity plate off and said there was nothing on it if that would work. I will try a notery again and see what they say . thanks for the help

Re: title help

Check the PA laws about getting a title when none exists.

And gots to be careful what you say to the title people. For example - you said there is a title and that means that the state has a record of (including the hull ID #) it with the sellers name on it. If so were I a title guy for PA I would be a little reluctant on giving you a title because the seller is a ****.

You also probably get into a heap of trouble if you try to use someone else's old title.
