Well, as many on here know, I play Santa at this time of year and I have to say, I am one wore out Santa with one big show to go today at a local hospital.

I had 82 "shows" in the last 30 days.
Just got done last night about 10 or so with the biggest one for the Marathon refinery here at home.

300 people with 73 of them being children.
Man what a hoot they were.

Yea, been doing the Santa thing for a few years now and each year is different.

My biggest joy other than my kids and grandkids, is seeing all the smiles on them kids faces at the hospital when I come into their rooms with presents and stuff for them.

Well, got's to get some rest before the final show.
I fly in by helicopter for this one.

"Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night."

Ok, I will stop now. It sure hits a bad spot after I have been there each year when I get home and think about the one's that might not be around for another Christmas and makes you think about how really good you have it.

God Bless you Lester! You have a wonderful gift of touching people in their heart. Not something that eveyone can do. Please take of yourself as well, the world needs more people like you. You make Christmas complete for the little ones. Job well done! :D

OMG    These kids were shot after Santa came to see them? And at the hospital, no less?  ;)

Okay, okay, poor attempt at humor! Sorry!

Les, YOU ARE THE MAN! Thanks for all you do to bring smiles to the faces of these young'uns. Who knows what the impact will be of this act of kindness in the years to come. May God richly bless your efforts.

How on earth do you keep your composure with them little ones in the hospital, Les?... I could'nt do it.. I'd be too busy drying my eyballs with a snot rag...

Way to go, Santa... :)

Re: Tired Santa

Thanks all for the kind words.
It is all worth it when you walk into a house that has no presents and see the kids eye's light up, and a big smile on their face, when they see that big bag I am packing.

The tears from the parents eye's knowing that their kids will have something.

The one's I see in the hospital like the one's above. They are sick to one degree or the other, but still there is that big smile once again.

It's tough Bill, but you have too when you are in front of them. Santa has to be strong although a lot of them are a lot stronger than Santa is I grant you.

When you get home and sit down is when it hit's you. 'nuff said.
