Although your tire pressure may have been low, you might want to watch out for how much pressure you actually put into your tire. If it says 50 lbs. MAX, that means... that's the maximum that tire can handle safely when "heated" (driven for an extended period of time.) Not cold. If you top it up at 50 when cold, the pressure in your tires will increase even more once you start driving. Even greater in hot weather. In addition, you might want to check your trailer specs on how much pressure should be in your tires with a specific load, or ask your dealer. Many people confuse tire pressure with cars as well. They look on the tire -- and not on the inside panel of the car door to find out exactly what the tire pressure should be for their particular auto.
