My livewell valve broke and it has turned into a major project. The part is extremely hard to reach, but I have replaced the valve. I had to cut my intake fitting to remove the pump because all of the hose clamps were rusted.
When I get my new parts one thing I will have to replace is the thru hull fitting. I have never done anything like this so I was looking for advice when it comes to the sealant.
An experienced marine guy told me not to use 5200 as it was like working with concrete. My main question is how much sealant do I put on and where? both inside and out? When I took this fitting off, I couldn't see where it ever had any sealant on it in the first place
