Like anyone else here, I have done lots of research on how everyone has removed the remaining rivets between the limbers of there boat. Some have tried washing them thru the limbers themselves, others have tried to blow them thru from one end to the other using a compressor.

And like everyone else, I tried those methods with some success. But the best way I have found to remove them all is when you go to flip your boat over to be painted.

Simply get enough people to remove the boat from the trailer, tilt it on it's side and have your helpers hold it there in place. Once the boat is on it's side, simply take the hose to each limber and watch all the remaining rivet heads and anything else that may be stuck in there go out the other end of the limber.

I was amazed on how many pieces and other debris was pushed out the other end.

Once you have gathered all your debris for the bottom(in this case side) of the boat, continue to flip it as you normally would.

It's quick and simple, and will save you tons of time.

Hope this helps.

All the best in your restos.
