I went out boat riding Friday and when I first started to launch there was no up trim only down trim. After some vibration that relay started working so I went out and no more problems. This kind of thing happened about 7 yrs ago where it was intermittent and then stuck wouldn't go up. I replaced both relays back then and it solved the problem. I see lots of U tubes about how to replace them. Its a simple thing. However, it makes me wonder why these relays must fail often. Maybe they can't handle the vibration the way they are attached to the frame. Have others experienced similar failure rates? I'm going to buy some replacements and make sure I have the tools on the boat so I can replace them on the water. I don't think that there is a problem with the cabling and connectors.
