Taking my old man to the Buffalo River while he can still go. Should be a large time. We'll launch Thursday morning and float at a leisurely pace to the takeout, camping Thursday and Friday nights on gravel bars. Ready to go.

Good times - I need to do something like that with my dad. We used to stream fish in Michigan all over the place. Might be cool to do a drift boat trip down this way somewhere.

This will be our conveyance. I call her the gear pig. She can carry anything I can fit on her. 120 quart Yeti goes up front and serves as the passenger(s) seat. I row from a big drybox in the center and there's another drybox behind me. All the chairs, loose bags, etc. go in the cavity in front of the thwart.

Slick - how small does it pack down when you deflate it?

I can get it down to 2'-3' x 4'-5' without too much effort. If I have help and want to take the time to roll and strap it I can get it into a pretty tight roll since it's hypalon. I built the frame using specialized fittings from an outfitter in Idaho and EMT from Home Depot. It's overkill for most anything around here, but I mainly use it for gear hauling. She can handle upwards of 1300 pounds. She lives in thisphoto.JPG, which is another story.
