tilt/trim works opposite????

Would someone know how I could fix my power tilt? My 1998 Johnson Mariner 75 that I recently bought has this issue....works both up and down but the swith on the control at the seat and the one up front are opposite of what the switch says. The one on the motor was also but i just switched the wires around. The other two still work backward of what they should. Any suggestions?

Trim motor wires to the solenoids are backwards.

If it is a "Johnson Mariner", I would expect a lot of things to be confused.

HaHa sorry about that! It is a Mariner. My brother in law has a tracker,with a Johnson,that I keep in my garge for him and some how i incorporated the two LOL.

OK, Mariner. You likely have two relays instead of solenoids, but Dave's advice is still valid. Bule wire is for up, green wire is for down. The problem could be in the switch as well....
