hi I tried to re reply to the topic but its closed and guy said its a sticky but its not doesn't sit on the top

but I wanted to know so a washer goes on and does it sit tight... and is it supposed to be tight the cap... and when I do get it off.. I got the 2 needle valve kits.. the
o ring has 1 good side and one cut out side... which way does it go... and how does it work inside if that cap doesn't move say and what does the shuttle valve do... and id like to replace those o rings what ones do I get for those

I guess u gotta take the O ring off toget the unit off.. as I unable to get it from napa 4-6 weeks harbor freight didn't try but was going to build a too

but what are the sizes of the O rings and what kinda o rings are used Nitro ones

I understand you do not have access to harbor freight stores hence hard to find the parts you need. You can come up with something to try to open the spool valve to access the hexagonal needle seal. Replacing the o ring on these two hex needle valves is the most important thing to do to stop the leak down. Here' the replacement part we used to repair this (you need 2 o rings), courtesy of PNW.

The other o rings in the shuttle valve do not need to be replaced but since you already have it out, you might as well do the same. What I used is I bought a set of Viton O rings. You can get them from any auto parts store or even online like the bidding store.

The shuttle valve is like a movable hydraulic switch that directs where the hydraulic fluid should flow on either of the spool valves. The sealing o ring on the shuttle valve is also very important to prevent leak down.

I ordered my carb kit from jackssmallengines dot come. You can also search for the #631021B part number and is sometimes sold at the bidding store.

hi so I made a tool napa Canada said they could get it but take 5-6 weeks and cost over 50 dollars Canadian. so I made a tool I welded a bracket
but cell phone diskspace ran out so I only did part video. but I pulled it out... I asked for o rings at viton I seen that before parts store didn't know what that was so I didn't replace the shuttle valve or the 2 O rings on the caps... I did get the briggs and straton rubbers... and then I used the vise to re press it back in

I had welding issues so the nut welded the screw I tried to get it loose and basically broke the allen key head off... as when I welded first time it didn't stick so had to increase voltage... stainless steel nuts to regular steel

but this did the trick but the hard drive disk space ran out so its not fully

thanks for link also says may not ship to Canada lol. still cost me about 50 bucks to get it to Canada... but least the tool I made was free I had all the parts and it works... I left the engine up all night she still holding...so those briggs Stratton rings worked..

my question is this engine doesn't have a holder to keep it in the air so I can take pressure off hydraulics is there something I can add?

This is the bracket that I use. I've seen them on the auction sites, but can be easily made if you have access to a welder.

hi thanks what do you call that? and I have access to a welder just not really to a pipe bender.... did you make yours? and is that stainless rod?

It's called a trailering bracket. It's not stainless, I think it's some type of plated steel rod. Approx. 1/2" in diameter. It came with the boat. If you have a picture of your set up I can look and see if it will work for your setup.

The bracket is for trailering only.
The motor should be left in the down position when not in use.
The trim rams and tilt rams can rust and eventually ruin the seals.
Another hint: use grease, white lithium in a spray can, WD-40 even motor oil on the rams.
ANY oil/ grease is better than none!!
Trailering brackets can sometimes be had on e-bay.
