Tilt/trim switch on US Marine control box F5H198 or F5H267 i have this control box on a cajun boat 1989 but the force motor was replaced with a 1994 w/115 evinrude! The trim had a short would not power up, relays swapped all good. It took me all day to find the short which was in the black relay box corrosion! However in looking for the short i took the trim switch on the handle out with the two tiny screws thinking that might be the problem! It wasn't.
However after finding the short the switch now sticks sometimes in the up and does not kick out on the up but does on the down! Anyone ever dealt with this very very tiny component, it was not doing that before, my guess is not put back in against a spring or very small metal clip!

Have not dealt with that model, but had similar issue with mine. I just replaced the switch

I fixed it took the two very tiny screws out the small flat cover then the red plastic switch put good light on to see what it was doing and the square rubber gasket or anti moisture seal was slightly in the way took it out and repositioned it tried it and it worked perfect! So the rubber gasket was wedging the button just a little causing it ti stick. Love it when i win cause it don’t alway let me!! Lol
