I have a 21' Reinell cuddy cabin-1974. The outdrive just says stern drive on it. The engine is a mercruiser 302(which is called a 188, as I understand it). The rams to tilt/trim the outdrive are bad. One didn't work, apparently, and that cracked the casing on the other one. Hydraulic fluid all over my garage.
I went down to the marina. 300 bucks apiece for these units. It's out of my price range. So I put it off a little, and played with the idea of rebuilding the ones I have. I was online yesterday, though, and someone has a set for sale. I called him on it, and he said that they were on a 120.
Will these fit? I'm new to this, especially to the I/O, so any suggestions, help, do's and don'ts-all of this is greatly appreciated.

Re: tilt/trim parts help

If you have a Mercruiser 188,.... Any Mercruiser 1" Rams will fit on your drive........

Go to ebay,+ Search there......... There are 2 basic Merc. rams that you're likely to find there,.......
The most common is the 1s you Need,..... It's the Round Looking 1s, with Both Hyd. lines at the Same End of the ram.....

Then there's the 1 1/4" rams,.... Those are the 1s with a Long,+ Short Hyd. lines,.... Those Would Work,... But would need the Plumbing to go with them...........

You Should be able to have a Complete Set of Rams,.. Delivered to Your Door for well Under $100.00.......
Used Of Course..........

To answer your Question,...............

Ayuh,........ They'll Fit Perfectly............. ;)
