tilt trim leaking

96 bass tracker pro 18 Mercury 40hp 4cylinder tilt small leak at ram,goes down but not up..can this be fixed...thanks

You can find seal kits on Ebay but 1st I'd check the fluid level. Get a service manual from Mercury if you don't have one.

replaced O rings put back to gather and now wont go up at all and when i help it go up all the way and press down it jerks going down and goes real slow the last couple of inches.Do i need to anything special...seems worse than before
