tilt quit working on my 850 merc. checked fluid and it was low. added fluid. noticed leak on right shock. appears to be coming from either straight slot screw or threaded allen head insert. is one of these a bleeder? (the screw and allen head are located near the incoming and outgoing lines). how do i bleed the air out and could this be why fluid is leaking(air in lines)?

Re: tilt/trim leak

Air in the system will not "cause" a leak, just make the hydraulics spongy due to compressing the air. I'm not sure if you can blead them, I've never bled mine, bad seal is the likely cause of the leak, worn or cracked oring. Seal kit may be in order.
