Looking to rebuild these idk if that's the right name anything i should know? any diy

they are seized they go up but won't go down i here the motor click but if i help it go down it does go

and that's what the mechanic told me but he first gave me a estimate of 2hrs per each side to rebuild then he went with 4hrs per side am mechanically inclined for VW/AUDI but i don't wanna mess anything up

lets see, you hear the motor run and the drive goes up, solenoid clicks and motor does not run.
Motor has to be running in each direction for the drive to go up and down.wiring dia. coming.

yes it goes up but won't go down unless someone pushes on the trim to help it go down

Doesn't sound like a piston problem. It sounds like a valve issue at the pump.
