Tilt and trim

I bought a boat with a tilt issue. It will not work unless I jump wires from the battery directly to the relay. 5s there a diagraham some where. It is on a j 115tlcih motor but I dont know the exact year. Thanks for any help

It is a 1981. Check fuse and switch.
