Tilt and Trim Limit Switch

I have a 1978 - 80hp / 800 Thunderbolt Mercury Outboard and I'm in need of a trim limit switch. One of the electrical blades that stick out of the micro switch has broken off down inside the switch and the wire can't be reattached. My tilt and trim is a 2 cylinder system and has one limit switch mounted on the left side cylinder. It's a 2 wire switch. I've looked around on the internet for a replacement switch but the one's I've found for Mercury don't look anything like the switch I have. I've added pictures to show what my switch looks like. The red box is the micro switch which I had already taken it loose from the switch housing, and the black plunger with the spring are taken out. Can anyone give me some advice on finding a new or good used replacement?? Thanks

Unless you're hell bent on getting the limit switch operational, I'd just bypass it and run without it.

Most of the motors of that vintage have limit switches that have long since stopped operating and have been bypassed. The trim system will function normally BUT the limit function of course will not.

The microswitch itself (the red/black device) is a standard microswitch that can be bought at any electronic supply shop. They have two operating modes, normally closed (NC) and normally open (NO). For your application you would connect the common (COM) and NC terminals of the switch.

Try DIGIKEY dot COM or MOUSER dot COM as a couple sources. Search for MICROSWITCH.
