If you wanted to simulate using a trolling-motor to pull you into a slip, simply back into your slip with the main engine instead of pulling forward into it. Seriously guys?? Quadracopters and RC tech??!!!

You must have the boat with a pointed stern. Canoe ?

Most boats in reverse are a handfull compared to bow first. I have watched salt water boats backing in. I have also seen marinas ORDER everyone to pull in bow first ONLY. Or take your boat somewhere else.

Didn't say it was practical, useful, or cost effective... Would just be really cool! In reality it isn't that far from a pod system, which are starting to be seen on smaller and smaller boats.

Thanks Smokingcrater.

I could not remember the correct name for a joy stick used in boat controls. :)

Second outing today and all is easy money...
Out and back in without needing any assistance from my wife with the boat hook - just needed to find the 'sweet' spot making the turn.

The best part about boating... next time it might be easy, or might be hard. Every adventure is different.
