I'm comparing a Tidewater 2100 Bay Max to a Scout 205 SF.
They both have the features I'm looking for. Anyone have any advice on the quality of the brands? Is Scout still a small, quality shop or have they sold out and sacrified quality like Sea Pro did a couple of years ago.

Where do you get the idea that Sea Pro sacrificed quality? I have a Sea Pro and have yet to see any shoddy workmanship on mine. Both the Scout and Tidewater boats are decent. The manufacturers of Tidewater used to own Sea Pro.

SCOUT.

The new smaller boats have cheaped out a little bit but everything else is solid!

I'm talking about the things I hear for 2006 and later models. A friend of mine has a 10 year old SeaPro with no problems but Brunswick isn't making them like they did 10 years ago. That, coupled with the fact that SeaPro won't exist past 2009 give me some concerns about buying one.
Sorry about stepping on anyone's toes - that was not my intention.
