Missing small part

Hello-<br /><br />I am not very familiar with boat engines, I just enjoy boating. :) However, I am willing to try/learn etc. Last summer a small piece broke off...it involves something with the shifting. This engine is scheduled to be repaired in three weeks but I'd rather take the initiative to fix it now.<br /><br />Here's a picture since I can't really give a better description.<br /><br />

<br /><br />I'd appreciate any direction as to where I can get this odd piece. The engine is a 1980 35HP Evinrude. Thanks!

Hi mkaminski,<br />If you are not in a hurry, you can gp to www.ishopmarine.com, click Parts List, and follow the directions to drawings and parts lists of your motor; and you will be supproting the sponsor of this forum. This list shows #318439.

That place is 3 blocks away from me...I went there and ordered the part...$1.30...thanks :)
