If you have spark when doing test D, you then move on to step D1.

I do not have spark at test d I know my coil is good So i guess i replace the ignition module. But what I dont get Is that I get spark when cranking the engine instead of grounding out and tapping the green white wire, I guess that if the ignition module is bad it could be telling to release the spark at the wrong time, if i remember correctly the ignition module is what controlls timing curve for advancing the ignition when the motor needs is, I guess it could cause it to send spark at wrong time. IDK wish they made a marine safe hei dist haha

It's not that it's firing at the wrong time, it's not firing at all after 1 or 2 pops. The inside is fried. The test with the white green wire has nothing to do with testing the sensor, tapping the wire is doing what the sensor isn't doing.

The module is what controls advance, the SENSOR is inside the distributor. That is what you need to change, the module is on the manifold.

I am not sure if that is what the boat needs I just put a new ignition sensor in last season and it ran great for a day then it started doing the same thing. I wish i had someone nearby to let me borrow an igntion module to test :(

Then you better check the bushings for the distributor shaft. If they are worn out and the rotor hits the sensor, you will keep destroying them.
