My 84 Starcraft had a factory built in livewell that leaked like a sieve and rotted out the floor. I have removed the live well and replaced the floor. I want to remove the through the hull fittings that are below the water line. What is on the market or what can I use to fill in and seal these holes in the transom?
Thanks

Glen

Need to know if this is a fiberglass or aluminum model S/C, it will make a difference in how its done.

Sorry about that is of Aluminum construction. The pump goes through the very bottom of the transom and the outlet is a bout 8 inches up, both are just to the left of the engine. I have included a photo
Thank Glen

Leave the fittings in place and fill them with PC 11 epoxy or marine tex. If you ever want to re-open them they will probably need to be cut out.

The other altenatives welding and/or patching will be butt ugly!

If the fittings don't leak and they have a threads inside, then you can use a threaded plug. You can also buy new fittings that have threads if yours don't. I had a similar size hole on the transom of my boat with no fitting in it, I cut a circle of aluminum then used 5200 and four 1/4-20 SS bolts, that was eight years ago.

Thanks for the advice, I will see what I can do. I was hoping someone made replacement plugs for the holes.
