Hello,
I was cutting holes for through hull exhaust on my 1986 Formula 206 today. The boat is setup for this and has a thin section of the transom where the holes should be cut. However, the sections for the cutouts on the swim platform (which is bolted to the transom) did not line up properly with the thin part of the transom and when I drilled straight through I ended up cutting away some of the transom (see picture). My question, is did I damage anything? Do I need to repair this? The tips sit about 6 inches above the waterline, so should I put some sort of sealer in there in case water wants to find its way in? Any recommendations on what I should do would be appreciated. Thanks
