Sounds good
Good luck with finding a house!
And please do keep is posted

Thanks! We put an offer out on Saturday- plenty of boat parking and garage space to get my spare bedroom full of boat parts and tools out of the house

So I installed that roller and took it out on Sunday and so far it really idled better after just changing that roller and resetting the two carburetor link adjustment screws. It only stalled once in dead idle forward which has been my main trouble spot, and I kind of blame myself, not it, for that one. Also after running for some time it was previously having issues in neutral idle where it would cough after a minute or so and die (only after running a while, never right off the dock). None of that yesterday! I want to say it seemed to idle quieter but that might have been in my head.

So this is good progress. Still haven't put any time into making that WOT stop budge but that's up now.

Day two of the PB blast and it's moving a bit. Must be pretty bad in there. I have some fears about torquing the bolt around as it already feels like it fatigued a little. Going to let it take as long as it wants to get loose so this doesn't turn into an extraction.

Arch...
Think about what you are doing. You are obsessing over the WOT stop screw, I think. (To be fair, I did not re-visit the pics) A frozen WOT stop screw. I would bet dollars to donuts that you will not have to move that screw at all. It is probably already adjusted properly right now.

Move your linkage manually to the WOT stop position, against that rubber bumper, and look at the throttle butterflies. It is that straightforward, and WILL NOT affect your idle.

Want to bet?

Agreed I've spent a lot of time waiting on this. Much of the reason I want this to move is so later on I can verify what the deal is with my butterflies. The port side one opens more than perpendicular to the hole. Starboard is perfectly perpendicular. I don't really expect this to be necessary for getting that right but I just hate leaving something that way.

The neutral idle is way better now. It will sit at idle as long as I want it to, where it used to die out after a while. Still no real progress on the forward idle however it is clearly missing at idle now whereas before it just sounded like it was faltering. I got a peak reading accessory for my multimeter to test the ignition system a few weeks ago but haven't gotten around to doing anything with it.

As for the house, it turned out someone else got an offer in and accepted on it the morning before we did
