You need to start with some basic checks.
Check the local auto parts stores and see if they rent or loan compression testers and check yours.
Check the spark with an air gap tester, should be bright blue and jump 1/4" with a snap sound.
The last thing is fuel delivery system, any leaks, does pumping the primer bulb help the problem, when was the last time the carb was overhauled?
