I have a Quicksilver throttle/shifter on my c/c boat; the motor is a 2006 model but the control is a 1984. Once the boat gets on a plane unless you keep your hand on it the speed will gradually decrease as well as the rpms. I have been told it does not have a tension/friction adjustment. Any suggestions as to a solution?

Re: throttle drift

pull the cover off the remote box, there should be a nut you can tighten.
