2011 Tahoe Q5iThat end comes attached to the cable as a whole assembly… You’ll need a new OEM Mercruiser cable. There should be a part number on the cable in which ought to be the size/length too.
What year is the boat?
2011 Tahoe Q5i
Cable number is 3992617-01
Is this easy to replace? I’ve never done it before. Do you know of any videos?

For some reason it seemingly challenging to get an exact match on your cable number. Got/getting close but not confident at suggesting the same one in length from sea star solutions formally Teleflex.2011 Tahoe Q5i

Looks like you have room on the backside of the throttle mechanism to remove the plastic cover that has either five or six Phillips small (#1 I believe it was) head screws holding that back cover on…. Remove the whole cover then remove the screw holding the throttle cable in place to the mechanism.
Might be easier and quicker to use a Phillips bit head, and then use a ratcheting wrench (1/4 inch) to undo the six screws.
You may have to pull the old one out first to measure just to be sure you get the right one on order.
It’s not that bad once started.
That looks to be a GEN two MerCruiser shift mechanism and cables.
Looks like the hard part will be getting the cable off from the control mechanism. Off the motor is a piece of cake.Thank you for helping me.

I’m not seeing anything video wise within your shifter model design though there’s a few others of an outboard types and different designs but maybe enough to help get you started.Do you if here is any videos out there on the change cable
I have no idea how it broke. I went to start boat up and found this broke. The cable end looked twisted so maybe too much pressure made it break ?I’m not seeing anything video wise within your shifter model design though there’s a few others of an outboard types and different designs but maybe enough to help get you started.
Maybe something in here will help but doubtful, https://www.kayakpaddling.net/how-to-remove-mercury-throttle-control/
What happened to the cable in your hand?
Did you win the race?
Going to attempt to remove the cover tomorrow and then measure this puppy. Wish me luck. For some reason it seemingly challenging to get an exact match on your cable number. Got/getting close but not confident at suggesting the same one in length from sea star solutions formally Teleflex.

Here's your shifter and if desired you could follow the cable link within where it says Must use Gen II Throttle/Shift cables. Part number range 897978A__(choose your length) and find an OEM cable a bit easier once you know what cable length you have now for sure. https://www.mercruiserparts.com/883710a03-remote-controlI have no idea how it broke.
