A waste of coolant.
run the motor on muffs untill normal operating temp, spray fogger untill motor stalls.,turm off water.
DRAIN BLOCK AND MANIFOLDS , PROBE DRAIN HOLES IF NECCESSARY , REINSTALL DRAIN PLUGS
Remove upper therm hose and pour in A/F untill it starts to come out the housing ,reattach hose
Remove lower manifold holes from therm housing and pour A/F in untill it comes out the exaust
Drain any "Cool Fuel" units, power steering units , drain raw water inlet hose. Remove raw water inlet hose and pour some A/F into it , reattach hose
Leave drive in down position, change drive oil , remove drive for inspection of main bellow
Remove batteries and go grab a beer untill springtime

I follow my mercruiser manual. open 4 petcocks and drain and remove 4 hoses and drain. then of course there is the outdrive etc but as far as engine thats all i do. but mine stays underground where it doesn't go below 55*. PO (original owner) did it this way the previous 29 years and never had an issue. he kept it in his unheated pole building in Ohio in the winter
