Not really boat related, but back in the early 80's when I was teaching myself electic guitar. After 6 months on the steel string acoustic, I went to the big guitar store in town and asked the American guitar salesman/demo-guy what he would recommend for blues/rock style... After seeing the prices of the Fender/Gibsons.. I settled for a Washburn Copy.. or clone that when played by this guy.. sounded G R E A T.. Just like Jimmy page from Zep..  Got it home to realise it wasn't the guitar that sounded great.. it was the guitarist.. and the nice amp and pedal he used ...Doohhh...<br />After 20+ years of practice.. I reckon I could just about play that lead break now.. ;) <br />with a 80 watt Fender Amp with reverb and an Ibanez tube screamer TS-808 like SRV had... :( <br /> http://www.analogman.com/tshist.htm
