thinking of disconnecting vro

I am thinking of disconnecting my vro on a 1993 175v evinrude to run mix from the tank. Can i simply disconnect the 4 wire plug running to the pump? Also does anyone have a easy troubleshooting way to eliminate sensor by sensor what could be causing a no oil alarm??

Desctribe the alarm. Steady beep, intermittent (how often) etc. Is it related to throttle position?<br /><br />Good luck!

the alram is the no oil. 1/2 second beeps short break between each beep, intermmitent.
