Listening to the radio today and this guy gave his top 10 things that are overrated. Thought it was interesting.<br /><br />I'll throw it out here. What do you think is overrated.<br /><br />1. New cars. They are new to me for a week. I am worried they are going to get door dinged in a parking lot, they make me upset when they get dirty, and the monthly payments. I have had about 5-6 over the years and I am almost always happier with a nice used vehicle.<br /><br />2. The radio guy took mine, Watching Pro Football live at the stadium. College is another story, but I would rather watch the packers play at the "stadium view" bar across the street from the stadium or in the parking lot in a motor home.

Just about anything that the raters deem important enough to rate and score high.In short ,I feel "ratings" itself is overrated.

Celebrity political opinions.<br /><br />Celebrity brains in general.<br /><br />Looking younger than you are.<br /><br />Getting ahead of the Joneses.<br /><br />Having 20 years of experience. I know guys who have had 1 year of experience 20 times and still haven't gotten it.<br /><br />Advanced (or even undergrad) degrees. Opportunity to learn does not mean success at learning.

I Can totaly agree with pointer on the Packers part. I would rather watch it in the comfort of my own home. With free beer and good food and the smell of the grill rolling in the windows. Now As for college football.... Ive been going to badger games since Ive been 6 years old. I become over whelmed with emotion every time I here the band come in. The whole crowd is in to it clapping and singing. (Varsity....Varsity) The only thing I would like them to bring back is the Bucky Wagon. <br /><br />Sorry for high jacking your thread I should probly start a new one.

Yeah, college footbal games are not over-rated.<br /><br />There is something about going to a U of Wash football game, going down by the Montlake Cut where a bunch of friends have a "tailgating" open tent set up, a bbq going, a gas powered 2 cycle blender for mixed drinks, the alumni band playing, and watching all the boats coming thru the cut to go to the game...<br /><br />Man, you don't get that watching on TV!!!

I just love going to Badger games. Get up early pay some college kids outragous somes of cash to park on the lawn. The cool air, turning leaves, and something about Madison. The whole town turns into a giant frat party. I go about once a year minimum. It is just an atmosphere that cannot be explained. I know Lambeau is a shrine but Camp Randall is where I like to go.<br /><br />It is tough to put into words but there is a big difference between a pro game vs college. Maybe it has something to do with losing isn't the end of the world. I don't really know. But that doesn't happen very often in Madison the past decade.

I totally disagree with the Packers thing..........the band at Camp Randall is similar to how I feel at a Packer game....just something I share with my dad, and that makes it worth it.<br /><br /><br />That and nothing beats tailgaiting in the cold, using the grill as a heat source, while cooking homemade brats and drinking High Life.
