My local post office had vending machines for stamps. Nothing like buying a book of stamps, put in a $20 bill, and getting a pocketful of dollar coins in change.
I would go to my local chain burger joint and buy something off the dollar menu and throw two of those bad boys on the counter. The gal would look at me, down at the coins, back up to me several times. "Sir, your order is $1.06." Ya,that's why I gave you $2. "Huh?"
There is really no place to put in dollar coins in the till. I love it.
I don't know how many times that I have gone into my local big electronic retailer and the cashier would give me back more in change than my purchase. I guess she gets more $100 bills and my little ole $20s throw them for a loop.
