My local post office had vending machines for stamps. Nothing like buying a book of stamps, put in a $20 bill, and getting a pocketful of dollar coins in change.

I would go to my local chain burger joint and buy something off the dollar menu and throw two of those bad boys on the counter. The gal would look at me, down at the coins, back up to me several times. "Sir, your order is $1.06." Ya,that's why I gave you $2. "Huh?"

There is really no place to put in dollar coins in the till. I love it.

I don't know how many times that I have gone into my local big electronic retailer and the cashier would give me back more in change than my purchase. I guess she gets more $100 bills and my little ole $20s throw them for a loop.

They walk among us...... this afternoon I was asked is a lime is actually a lemon that has not yet ripened........

Soooo, lots of discussion about this but no definitive answer from anyone . Quit beating around the bush. Is it or isn't it? Inquiring minds want to know

Actually, limes are tangerines that went to "the dark side." Lemons are tangerines that Obie wan Kenobie almost saved, but could't quite get a grasp on!

Silly Vermont man - don't you know that both lemons and limes come from Skittles? Go buy a bag and plant them in your back yard when springtime comes, you'll see!

I'm half owner of a small used car dealership. This past friday night we got
6" of snow.

Saturday morning a lady comes in, she had been in looking at a car on friday.
She said I'd like to test drive it. I said well....... right now theirs 3' of snow
behind it. We are on a 4 lane US HWY and the plow's bury us.

I said in a couple of hours we'll have things cleared out and then you can
drive it. She said I'm busy the rest of the day. I said well, I'll be glad to
hold the car until monday for you and then you can come back and drive it.

She looked at me and said "don't you have a shovel?"

I had the same argument a few years back. We had "Key Lime" trees in the yard. A neighbor told me it was a lemon tree and that the "fruit" would turn yellow when ripe. Lemons are green until they ripen to yellow. Limes stay green. Key Limes turn yellow when ripe. Are Key Limes Lemons or Limes?

Actually, neither:

Key Lime - Citrus Aurantifolia
Lime - Citrus x latifolia
Lemon - Citrus x limon

My mother always said money didn't grow on trees. I guess she was either planting the wrong kind of coins or using the wrong kind of fertilizer.

When you work in the forest products industry, you quickly learn money DOES grow on trees!

CHICKENS!.....I'm still awaiting for the rabbits to hatch from last Easter.
