Don't know if you have heard over in the USA about two miners trapped by a mine cave in over here in Australia (Tasmania)they had been trapped and feared dead for 5 days then discovered to be alive by a rescue party, took another 9 days to drill through solid rock to get to them, 14 days trapped in a low (about 6 feet by 6 feet)cavity, dark, no water or food, but when they found them alive they drilled a small hole to get food and water to them, they finally got out this morning (Tuesday) at 5AM

Thats good to hear, sure is an awful lot of mine problems here lately.

yep was a great effort from the resue crews, they worked 6 hour shifts in a tunnel 1 metre in diameter using a drilling machine to drill horizontally then vertically for days to reach them, thats according to the news and mine management reports of course.
