Finely got the urathane done sweet looking job thanks all now it back to the motor, had it all painted and first coat of urathane when sanding with 800 wet/dry i broke through the red paint down to the primer the job dosn't look to good {neither did the boat at first lol} so will i have to sand all the red paint off the cowling and start over as its all skuffed up, or can i just respray the red over the brake throughs and wait for it to dry and recoat with urathane thanks all !!!!!never did this before here some pix hope to get some help thanks all

Ayuh,.... No reason to sand it All off,... Just sand it SMOOTH... Then repaint...

Wet sand and then repaint - I used to paint for a living and many times the first coat would be wetsanded and we would break through the finish, but thats ok - just recoat. As a matter of fact - doing this until you have a perfect finish is not a bad idea. Keep wetsanding any imperfect areas and then recoat until you have a perfect paintjob.

The main thing about wetsanding is too make sure the coat of paint is 100% cured before wetsanding, otherwise it sort of balls up in the sandpaper and you end up not getting the finish you want.

thank you will do that any help on where one can get trim i do have pix of mine if you need them ty

ok will the paint go on if i didn't get all the urathane off it is still shinny in some spots and i'm using crylon fusion paint ty
