There is no replacement to having experienced mechanics directly on some job, when needed. My 70s philosophy was to do some initial jobs ?Only? with experienced mechanics (to see what might be done, said or not done or said after reading the processes). That was a quick lesson after my late 60s start in general automotive work. Reading in advance helps to digest and adds to info the mechanic might miss or take is understood. I Learned The Need Of Specialist, due to my patience, skills and economics, some jobs were not worth my time or risk. The Bottom Line!

I stay in my areas of experience unless Real Experience Is Close For Peace Of Mind.

I understand ?We All? have different styles of learning and mechanical skills. Good Luck With Your Challenges!!
No Lectures Please. LOL

Why was this post removed? Was it not good info to share with new mechanics (old mechanics have been there and it?s not fun)? I hope it was not taken to be offensive in any way. I was trying to say some task have hidden requirements and needs above general mechanical backgrounds or knowledge. Such as, some jobs require experienced mechanics with additional training under a master mechanics or instructors to master some technical areas. Peace!!
