Thanks for the well wishes fellas, well the motor idles smooth as silk although it's not going to idle down any lower for me and I'm not sure why. I don't like the sound of shifting into gear at 1050 RPMs, I'm versed in the quick throttle movement popping it into gear and stopping before throttle is applied, I'm not one of the indecisive long drawn out gear grinding types. :lol:
Going to pull the plugs and check the timing again to make sure it's where it needs to be.
Oh and I put on that TP 19p prop, those vent holes are not good on my particular set up, causing me to have to ease into the throttle slowly otherwise it ventilates, maybe on a different set up vents would be good. I think I'll try to find a way to plug the holes. The prop runs smooth and would have some good acceleration too if it wouldn't ventilate and want to over rev my old Merc.
Tested the prop after installing that plastic ring and tuned the carbs this morning. Water just right for testing too...
I'm not getting the rpms I want out of the 19p, 5500 rpms is in the power band and there was little gain for all the issues that have come along for the ride.
