We'll have burgers, dogs, and chicken. I might do some smoked shark or white fish. I asked Net Doc for Key Lime pie, but not sure if he's coming. Coastal Richard was bringing some side dishes (I think). Heck...bring whatever you want or can't live without. If we need to get something, Winn Dixie is 2 miles away!

P.S. VH is bringing his appetite!

...And a few slabs of ribs!!!

I'll dry rub and let them sit in the fridge over night... Then I'll smoke them... Then I'll baste them. I'll wrap them and put them in a cooler. When we're ready to eat them; I'll grill them. Sound reasonable?

I've been known to make a dynamite slaw. Should I bring a couple cabbages and the ingredients to make it fresh? I can do that when we get there; and refrigerate it for a few hours to let the flavors blend.

I don't know if I can wait till June 9th...

You got it, Brother... Ribs and slaw. I may have to bring some beans, bacon, maple syrup, molasses, ect, ect, ect... So how does smoked baked beans sound? Is this chit gettin' good or what?

Ok, check this out. My wife just told me she clipped some coupons and got a GREAT deal on Ramen Noodles and Spam!!! She probably bought enough for everyone who even thought about coming!!! She got some of each flavor Ramen makes; and heavy on the shrimp flavor, cause, seriously, who doesn't like shrimp?

We're gonna eat like KINGS!!!

So, should I even bother with the ribs and other stuff???

I have written two messages and managed to loose them both before I got them published, but at least I'm still watching. Skip and I made it to Islamorada when we got a call that my cousin in Margate was sick and needed us to be with her. It looks like we may be around until kids get out of school and join up with us. Soooo, the get together still is not out of the picture. Even if we can't make it we will enjoy the stories. Keep the faith and stay green on the water.

Sorry for my recess this week folks...I suffered a pretty bad cut ( from oyster shells) to my right hand that is just now allowing me to use a mouse again. All the food ideas sound fantastic...low boil, ribs, chicken, slaw, shrimp...yeehaw this is gonna be a shindig to remember. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are going to try. Dad wants us to help him move furniture to his cabin in NC that he just bought. Trying to get him to do it another weekend. We will see.

Hey guys! We are getting close. I'm really praying for some good weather this weekend. I must captain a Hatteras in a fishing tournament. I have a good group of some professional fishermen. If it stays nasty like it has the past few days the tourney will be postponed till the following weekend. I can't let my guys down.
