Ok, so I was bored and did some searching and found some aerial shots of the Tahoe Factory on Bing. These are screenshots from my iPad. You can see for yourself if you search for Miami, OK. The address is 3807 Tahoe Way, or look just north of the airport. In one of these shots, you can see the trailer factory on the lower right, and the boat factory in the upper left. There are two other pics that are closeups of each factory. In case you were wondering, there are around 588 Tahoes covered in plastic in that field. At a $25,000 average, that's 14.7 million dollars sitting there!!Boat factory.jpgOverview.jpgtrailer factory.jpg

Re: The Tahoe Factory

It does not look like quite that many boats, but quite a few. I would imagine that their demand is quite seasonal, so they have to stock up. I wonder what time of year the photos were taken? Looks like spring/summer months . . .

That is neat, makes you wonder how many boats have been made over the years.

Feel free to double-check my counting...should take you about 20 minutes! :)

When you figure 13 different Tahoe models, 5 different colors, half a dozen, or more, engine options (including carbed and EFI variants), 600 boats isn't a lot considering the total number of dealers for Tahoe boats in the US. When I bought mine, my local BPS had around a dozen Tahoes in stock, and the dealer just up the road (Where they got my particular boat from) that wasn't a BPS, had about 10 in stock. They told me that I could get anything that I wanted, if I was willing to wait an extra week or two, because the factory pretty much always had at least one of everything on hand for folks that were determined to get exactly what they wanted. Other dealers could always have it and if so, the dealers swap boats around like car dealers do with cars.

Kind of staggering when you think about it! On the lakes that I frequent, I see Tahoes all of the time. They are very popular here. I saw one private house dock that had 4 tied up! Maybe there's a bulk discount! :))

that's weasome, I rarely see tahoes at my lake maybe one or two not to many on the roads either. I get kinda excited when I see others. I think they are great boats.

I like the far that you do not see a lot of them...it kind of makes me feel like I have a on of a kind boat! I do always get compliments on how nice the boat looks...black is awesome when it is all shiny and clean!

I see you have a 4 blade prop. I'm considering switching to one(I spend 80% of my time on the water towing) for my 215sc but am not sure a 190hp engine justifies the extra blade. Any idea?

If you tow all the time you want a 5 blade actually. Night and day for watersports. You will lose some top and and fuel economy but will make watersports much better.

Re: The Tahoe Factory

This is my first post on the forum. I just got my 2007 Q6 SF about 2 weeks ago. Anyway, I live in Wisconsin but am traveling for work in Clinton, Missouri. Right across the street from where I work is the Tracker Boat factory where they make the Tahoes now. It's amazing to see them all (along with the Nitros) lined up in a field. And no wheel locks or coupler locks on any of the trailers. When I was searching for a Tahoe I actually went to the factory a couple times to arrange a tour but no one was available to give me one.

So far, I love my boat. I do experience a lot of the low-speed wander everyone gripes about. I'm installing a Humminbird 597 when I get back home - wondering where to mount the transducer. Maybe I should consult the factory tomorrow...

Re: The Tahoe Factory

If this is the Tahoe factory, what about the other models that are produced by Tracker Marine. Do they have factories for every model they build? Kind of makes you wonder whether to buy stock in this company.
