Re: The Results are In. Duh, who would have thunk it
Thanks Darth, I guess I need to explain things a bit more so here goes. Everything is OK now, I just got the good news I've been hoping for, but here's why I've been a little distracted lately.

I put my house in Va on the market last year sometime, and closing was scheduled some time last summer. About an hour before closing, my realtor called and said a builder was excavating on the property adjacent to me and dug up part of my drainfield. (I had an easement for a corner of the drainfield to extend to the property next door) So I've been going through all kinds of troubles trying to straighten it all out.
I finaly got the new closing papers last week, sent them in, and had a new closing date of today. I also got a call from my realtor last week saying the buyers wanted to back out unless we dropped our price. I told my realtor to keep everything the way it is, no change to the contract. I really need this money, I'm counting on it getting me through a career change I've already started, as well as getting either a decent boat or a good motor for my existing boat.

So I've been dealling with a lot of wrangling with the Virginia health dept, wrangling with the buyers, wrangling with the surveyors and the people who installed the septic system, as well as the builder who damaged my drainfiel over who's responsible for what, and everyone is passing the buck and giving me the run around. No one wants to deal with it and nobody wants to take responsibility.
I just got a call from my realtor saying the closing went through, so everything is ok as far as that is concerned. I'm going to get a lawyer to look into my recourses, and might post the details later. But for now, I'm going to take the family out to dinner and celebrate the fact that the house has finaly sold!

Sorry for the hijack Techno, I'll turn it back over to you now!
