Re: The Pot Poll

I agree with ZmOz, OMC and QC

Lots of things are psychologicaly addictive, we cant ban them all. I have seen people do a lot worse things being drunk than high. And no we shouldnt ban that either. DR I dont think you have attached any qualities to marijuana that you couldnt also find in any other mildly addictive pleasure

You are. (for thinking you have ANY clue about marijuana without having tried it)

I wan't saying we should ban anything. Except the #2 at Wendy's. As far as I know marijuana is already banned and I had nothing to do with it.

You agree with the fact that it is banned, there fore, you have said marijuana should be banned.

If I'm the minority. Okay the only one, who thinks this way, why is it still illegal. Don't tell me it's the government regulating our lives, you'll have to do better than that.

Okay Zm, I haven't heard your argument why it shouldn't be banned.

It hasn't come up to vote yet. In places where it has, marijuana has been somewhat legalized. (medically in many states, and for everyone in Alaska and Denver)

Obviously by this poll, if we all voted on it tomarrow it would be legalized.

It's no more dangerous, and significantly less dangerous than many things that are already legal. It would also create ENORMOUS amounts of tax revenue and let some harmless people out of overcrowded prisons instead of rapists and theives.

Plus hemp has a huge amount of industrial uses, and it's cheaper and more environmentally friendly than the currently used alternatives.

Because it's LESS dangerous is not a reason to legalize something. So it's money then? You think like a drug dealer, I like it. :D

I'm still waiting to see your evidence that it's not addictive in any way.

My point is there was no good reason it was made illegal to begin with, and there is no reason to arrest people for using something mostly harmless.

Do you have trouble reading? I never said that! YOUR evidence already agrees with what I said. As does everybody else.

Re: The Pot Poll

So who gets to use and who doesn't? How will it be regulated or will it be a free for all? Certain patients can benefit from it's use I agree and I would vote for medicinal use, but every bill that's come through attaches decriminilizing too and that's why it fails so often.

I read quite well thanks. I'd like to see a single credible article on the non-addictive nature of THC. Not your opinion.

^^^ advocate of a nanny state? ^^^

Incidentally, in my experience cannabis is usually smoked mixed with tobacco-MORE tobacco than in a normal cigarette. The "withdrawal symptoms" described in your link actually sound like withdrawal from high doses of nicotine (trust me on this, I quit smoking 3 months ago but I'm having a hell of a time getting off the nicotine gum!)

Sorry for butting in but its already been stated by many who agree to legalization that it is somewhat addictive in the same way as food or alchohol.....what you are now asking isnt possible............It HSA ALREADY BEEN ADMITED THAT IT ISNT NON-ADDICTIVE Im sure you know that though.

Pony,I see where you're coming from but maybe you'd like to change the alcohol bit-that IS a highly addictive drug and causes a damn sight more harm than pot does.

Re: The Pot Poll

Personally, I'd rather see booze and cigarettes made illegal instead of legalizing pot. Then we'd all get to see which crowd really has a drug problem. ;)

What they should do is legalize pot and then do a study comparing alchohol and pot on # of accidents, deaths, health problems etc each one causes. People would see real quick that pot is not the devil weed they think it is.
