The beautiful colors of fall have gently blown off the trees........ right into the next state.

Winds are 35 to 50, gusts up to 70...... raining cats and dogs, and they are fighting on the way down, or sideways as it is.

Haven't seen anything from the other amphibians on this board... have you guys got your water wings and swim fins on? 8) Haut? OZ? Boomer? TG?

Edit: No slight ment for any others on this coast that rust instead of tan... check in... or should I say, float by.

I feel like I am being waterboard tortured. Six days of continuous rain and over 6" total. I'm trying hard to stick close by home. It is real exhausting to drive my normal distances, then jump in and out of my van to get the necessary items to do my work. When I am done, I get back in the van and the windows all fog up.

If I wanted this kind of weather I'da moved to Borneo.:(

That's exactly what I told my friend last night. 8) Now my roof is leaking...I'll have to send him the bill.

I've actually had to turn on the AC a few times because it's so warm. Or maybe that was just the tequila...

On my side of the continent ( the right side ) it is drizzling and now 51 degrees. 5 minutes ago it was only 48. Not much wind. The leaves are mostly on the ground now. One more day closer to spring. Gotta start planning on spring readiness to get the boat out to kill fish.

Been raining its arse of in my neck of the woods. The last time it was like this was in 96, and we ended up with continuous snow from november to march. Looking forward to that....

Re: The Pineapple express......

I hate topics like these.
We are in our 7th yr of drought, and if we could get 6" of rain in this place over the next 6mths we would be so happy.
I am sick of the dust, the endless blue skies and struggling to keep the crop alive.
The local authority have warned me to re-submit an upgraded Water Management Plan in 2 mths, reducing my water usage by a further 25%.
It has cost me $12K over past 18mths to install a self reliant system, but I need a good storm to pass through to get it all kick-started.
And I am one of the lucky growers. If i had been cropping inground or growing stock, it would have been all over for me 3-4 yrs back.
So send some of that moisture south. Please.
Cheers
Phillip

Re: The Pineapple express......

We had over 14 inches of rain in two days, and have had over 23 inches this month so far. I wish I had taken some pictures but I didn't think about it at the time. I spent part of the first afternoon sandbagging with the fire department, but the second day was so much worse there was nothing we could do but wait for it to go down again. High tide came within a few inches of the floor of the kayak shop where I work, but missed getting inside the building. Our grange hall wasn't so lucky. It's in the middle of being fixed up again, and just got a new roof and electrical. Lots of homes flooded when the tidegates couldn't let enough water out of the diked area fast enough. Had almost five feet of water in the fairgrounds next to the grange hall. It was down a couple of feet yesterday.
