I have some PVC pipes, rubber hoses, and copper pipes need to pass thought water-tight bulkhead of a composite ship. But I do not know how the passage should be to ensure that bulkhead is still water-tight one.
Could any one have experience about this, please help me?
Thank you very much,

Most people just use a polyurethane sealant around the pipe.

If you are using watertight compartments to meet regulatory requirements, then this may not be good enough.

buy some water tight bulkhead fittings for the size you need . I doubt a regular marine store sellsthem , however a shipyard type place should. I use to see them on my ship when i was in the service. try to google it . found this site about watertight compartments you might like to know the how's and why's http://law.justia.com/us/cfr/title46/46-7.0.1.2.6.5.html you might have to type it in

Hello Thanh..

What composite are you speaking of ? Prepreg kevlar or carbon bulks ?

You need to put PVC,rubber and copper through a watertight composit bulk ?

Well I cant see any way to do that all in one lump sum m8..

No way unless you fit the bulkhead with sealed install fittings (incorporated in the bulkhead composit ).

Your gonna need a shutoff on both ends right ..

Unless Im not reading you right.. then possible 5200 fittings through your bulkheads ??

Interested in this post...
