Fishing here on Cape Ann could not be better,"Fish, Fish everywhere." There are plenty of stripers along Gloucesters' rocky shore line. Blue fish are hitting the rappalas and also the baits. Let's not forget about the DOGGGGGGS, they are thick as fleas. You can actually chum on the side of your boat and hand dip net 600lbs. in an hour and make $120.00, so much for endangered species.

The whales are chasing sand eels, some days they are 8 miles off shore and other days you have to travel 30 miles. The tuna fish are here and the harpoon boats are sticking a lot of under sized fish. Some tuna are being taken while trolling. The days of the Giants is over. Very few fish are caught over 1,000 lbs. now a days.

Two friends that had charted my boat recently had some nice fishing. One of the fellas that had caught a 41" 21lb. striper, had started hasseling his friend about catching small fish. Well, before the trip was over the fella being hasseled had a grin from ear to ear, when he had caught a 42lb. striper.
