Hey folks, I posted a while back regarding my 06 johnson 140 4 stroke not peeing. I got several good suggestions, however today before trying some of those suggestions, I tried my motor again in a barrel of water and it peed just fine. So, I'm wondering, does this model of motor have an electronic device of some sort that might stop the motor's water pump from running when its real cold out? When I tried it last fall in the lake, the water was starting to freeze up at the launch and it was only 1 degree above freezing. Did the water pump not kick in because it was not yet necessary?

it could have frozen up with ice and not able to suck water.
